Little Acorns is a fun game in which you need to help a little squirrel called Mr Nibbles collect all the nuts over a series of increasingly complex levels.

There are lots of levels in Little Acorns, set over four seasons and four years, which will take you a while to get through. In order to progress through the levels you need to collect up all the acorns scattered across each one within a given time limit. There are other challenges to complete in some of the levels in Little Acorns, such as rounding up your squirrel babies.

To play Little Acorns you use the left, right and jump buttons to move about the levels. You'll need to negotiate platforms, jump on nasty creatures and use ropes to swing to hard-to-reach places. Along the way, you can pick up power-ups such as speed boosters, extra time and invincibility. You can collect fruit too, which you can exchange for costumes to dress up Mr Nibbles.

The graphics and overall presentation of Little Acorns is excellent, from the cute characters to the way your stash of acorns fills up after each level, with markers indicating how far to go until you reach the next year.

There's little to fault in Little Acorns, although there is a small issue with this version (1.0.0.0) of the game that means your time does not get recorded, meaning you can't get speed runs.

Overall, Little Acorns is bags of fun and rivals Angry Birds when it comes to cute and colorful casual gaming.
